Treasure Island is een smal stukje land in St. Petersburg dat voor de kust van Tampa, Florida ligt. Het huisje dat wij voor een paar dagen huurde vonden we gewoon via een Google zoekactie. Hoewel de jaren-80-hier-woont-een-single-man inrichting tamelijk lelijk te noemen is, hebben een paar heerlijke dagen gehad. Het strandhuis had een tuin die bestond uit een veranda (mét fijne ligstoelen), zand, een duintje en dan het strand van de golf van Mexico. Dus wel privacy dankzij het duintje maar je kon s'ochtends wel zo vanuit je bed de zee in lopen.

Treasure Island is small strip of land in front of the shore of Tampa, Florida. The beach house we hired was found through Google. Although the I-love-the-80s-here-lives-a-single-man decorations inside the home were pretty ugly, we had a lovely couple of days. The beach house has a big porch (and great sun loungers), sand, a little dune and the Gulf of Mexico. So we had privacy thanks to the dune but in the morning you can walk straight from your bed into the sea.
